What does it take to be an ICT student?

               Being an ICT student gives me in advance knowledge. ICT have changed the world in an enormous way. It is important to our life as a student when it comes to Technology and Communication. ICT had been really become a very big help for students, mostly like me because I had experience become a computer literate. Through ICT, I easily learned how to use properly the computer, how to encode, research and many more.
           
               In that case, I  learned so many things about ICT and also gained more information about it and widen my knowledge about technologies.

My Dream, My Future

               "No matter what my age, No matter how many false starts I have made, No matter how many opportunities I have missed, No matter how many times I have failed, I can still make my dreams come true." Each start is the beginning of a new life. I can pick out a shiny new dreams and start working on it.

                I have a dreams. First, to finish my studies. Because I want to prove myself and to everyone that I'm the type of person that are "no quitters", so that my parents would be so proud of me someday. Second, to have a great job. This job must be interested, can give me very exciting, can be comfortable and especially, I can help my parents. Third one, to have a simple and wonderful life. They say that "life is hard". In my own opinion, there's no hard in life if you enjoy it every second, every minute and every hour. Enjoy life doesn't waste money for everything. We should use many to do some significance things. And we can also have time to bond with our family.

                So everyone has their own dreams, in different time i believe and so do you. I hope you can find some dreams someday.

CHANGE: It starts with me

               Our particular saying that has always struck me as unintelligent is "People don't change". I believe that although each individual has deep-rooted personality traits.

                Leadership is ultimately about changing people's behavior. Change is the solution to our own problem. If we want to become better and improve our self, we must change our bad attitudes and maintain the good things and good attitudes. As a youth, I have to change a lot of things so that it can help us to reach our dreams and goals in life.

                The Leaders should make their first step to change their way in governing our country to become progressive and we could be a better person and we will be happy and contented.

Kannawidan: The Ylocos Festival

               The Kannawidan Ylocos Fest, launched in 2008, will be held in front of Provincial Capitol Hall and Quadrangle, Plaza Salcedo, Plaza Encarnacion and President Quirino Stadium.

The Kannawidan fest will follow immediately after the 10-day Vigan Longganiza Festival from January 16 to 26.

             The attractions include the display and sale of handicrafts made from indigenous materials produced in the province, exhibition of traditional of members of indigenous communities and awarding of the best practices in school.

             Ilocos Sur especially Vigan is branded as the heart of Ilocandia by the Philippines Historical committee. I'ts a province very rich in culture and heritage. It was a fun-filled week of celebration of the kannawidan festival in Ilocos Sur.

"New Year, New Me"

               New Year's is the closest thing to being the world's only truly global public holiday, often celebrated with fireworks at the stroke of midnight as the new year starts. New Year is a new life.

               New Year, New Me. In this year, I want to continue my life as a wonderful and simple I have. This is the year to be mature and to be a responsible person. I have also my New Year's Resolution. One is to change my all bad attitudes. I will always understand and respect others. Be a responsible person and it should be study first. I want also to spend more time with my family and friends, so that I can more discipline myself and most of all, enjoy life more because life is short.

                So everyday is a new day. We learn something new and thank God for the new life.

Keeping in mind our Mother Tongue

               "Mother Tongue" means language. A person has learned from birth or that a person speaks the best. Mother tongue refer to the language of one's ethic group rather than one's first language.

               Mother language or mother tongue is used for the language that a person learn as a child at home. So we should keep in our mind the language what we have learned at home. This is the language spoken by our mother would be the primarily language that the child would learn.

               We must give importance and treasures what we have learned to our Mother Tongue.

Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity: Progress for all

                    The word Equal Rights refers to human tights, when such rights are held in common by all people and when such rights are held in common by both men and women. While the Equal Opportunity is commonly held belief that all people who are capable of doing a task should have the chance to do so.

                      For the theme "Equal Rights, Equal Opportunity:Progress for all" re-emphasizes that equal rights and opportunities to lead to improved health outcomes for women and girls. Discrimination towards women and girls, or what is known as gender-based discrimination, is one of the most pervasive human rights violation. It severely limits the ability of women and girls to protect and promote their health.

                       Gender-based discrimination is irrevocably connected to negative health outcomes for women and girls. Gender equality is good for health.
